Job

As a Network Engineer you provide technical competence in network and telecommunications installation, maintenance & support. The ability to work proactively and cooperatively as a team is essential as this position is expected to resolve team driven escalations, as well as issues with technology vendors and external service providers. Participation in client technology reviews, upgrades and change outs is expected.

You are going to work within a centralized IT Operations team, providing local/regional support, while being part of the global team.

The following core activities are part of the function:

• Troubleshoot and resolve network related issues to support daily business needs.
• Plan, implement and support network solutions between multiple platforms/cloud environment using industry standard practices.
• Maintain WiFi reliability and strength for all covered sites
• Produce quality technical documentation of change and configuration management, network diagrams, and to support project scope/s of work.
• Drive root cause analysis and approve preventive action plans.
• Acting as L3 escalation to reported networks issues reported by helpdesk and local operations teams.

What you will bring

• HBO working and thinking level
• You are a certified networking professional or equivalent (CCNA/ /PCNSE certifications highly preferred).
• Experience configuring and managing a global IP network, knowledge of Cisco switches.
• Knowledge of Aruba wireless technology
• Knowledge of the Windows platform.
• You are able to work independently with initiative, be a strong team player, have good interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
• You are proficient in English, good verbal and written skills.
